AC Milan target Drenthe
Milan are looking to do more business with Real Madrid, this time for Holland international full-back Royston Drenthe.
The full-back position has long been identified as an area that needs improvement, so Leonardo was frustrated when no one was signed for that role in the summer.
However, it now appears meeting that priority is shaping Milan's transfer strategy for January when the market reopens.
According to Cadena Ser, Milan are preparing a bid of around £6m for the 22-year-old Drenthe who has lost his battle to become a regular for Real with Brazil international Marcelo.
Juventus and Fiorentina are also said to be interested. In fact, the latter apparently came very close to signing Drenthe in the summer, only for Manuel Pellegrini to ask the Real Madrid board not to sell.
